Who would have thought human beings would fly one day ? none , although in 1488 Leonardoda vinci drew flying machine considered to be first aircraft design and it was converted to reality on December 17, 1903 by Wright brothers and here started the journey of aviation .Now Aviation industry is among the largest industries and modern day human beings first thinks of air travel while travelling long distance. Modern day aviation is dominated by data driven technology and in this competitive aviation market data is playing a huge role starting from MROs , OEMs ,airlines ,Passenger etc.. Now let us take a look at how data has influenced the modern day aviation industry . 1. Improved customer service : the very pinnacle comes the customer service . During early days where the communication between the company and customer were quite difficult but now in modern day aviation industry Artificial Intellegence has replaced the conventional communication methods with Chat bots which interact to us like person and provides each and every facility available to the company , Electronic payments , digital sevices helps a lot in the aviation industry.

2. Product design : the jobs of aircraft designers are eased by the programming designing methods and AI algorithms . Introduction of new technologies and new configurations of aircraft improves the aerodynamic efficiency . the use of UAV(unmanned aerial vehicles) are easing the work load in many sectors and may be in future we might hope for “pilot less” flights.

3. Fuel Effeciency : it is the main driving factors for the increasing fares for the airlines . in a survey in the year 2019 it was seen 97billion gallons . this can be improved by better aerodynamic efficiency and now a days various companies fabricate light weight parts with 3D printing technology. The development of sensing technology or simulators can improve the fuel flow control and hence improve fuel efficiency .

4. Efficient supply chain management : increasing use of Artificial intelligence a streamlined aviation business is formed .Use of automated technology increases supply and production .Automated data collection makes proficiency in supply chain management .

5. Training : the use of technology has improved a lot of things which includes the flight simulation . It helps to train better pilots , improvement of R&D communication has also been improvised and a better communication between ground and pilot has been established . The use of indicators and warning systems and most importantly wireless connection helps improve the system functions and hence helps in better training .

These are few examples and it gives an impression that there would be hope in future that there is a better tomorrow in the aviation industry to make the world a better place .
